case study in action
The Manhattan 75
Several thousand neighbors live on West 75th Street today, but as of the summer of 2024, the block association and community had stagnated for 8 years. Over the summer, I set out to bootstrap a block association starting by connecting my building together with a WhatsApp group, and ultimately meeting 50+ neighbors and discovering an old email list of 150+ members.
Today we have successfully kickstarted a new chapter for our block community and have begun to use AI tooling into the way we message and community, such as AI-generated meeting summaries and using AI to summarize and remix newsletter or text message content for different audiences.
